JOURNAL ENTRY

The Lueneburg Heath where I live, is a region in Lower Saxony, Germany which covers the area between the cities of Hamburg, Hannover and Bremen.
In the nature reserve there are many testimonies of history including numerous Bronze Age burial mounds, historic trails mark,boundary markers, boulder walls, old sheep pens and farmhouses.
And of course picturesque landscapes, my favorite beeing 'the deadgrounds'.

I love hiking the trail from Haverbeck

and up to the hills of the deadgrounds.

The view over this unique place is a must for every heatherland-hiker.

No photo can really display how beautiful it is there...


I guess those were the last days of summer here.
In the mornings and evenings the air is already getting crisp,
the colors slowly turn from green to yellow and
you can hear the first leaves scurrying across the ground.


Fall is by far my favorite season.
